Applications in visual communication, as the advertising industry is also known, are very diverse. They range from visual effects using colours to bright transparency, from good connection options to perfect dimensional stability, from simple printability to food compatibility, from flame-retardant equipment to components with high mechanical strength. Here, we can offer materials and possible formed components for almost all areas of application – partly as semi-finished products from our standard product range, partly precisely tailored to suit the customer’s particular application in our customised solutions programme. We can also manufacture components in your company colours to underline their uniqueness.
Properties
Bondability
In joining technology, in addition to the use of screws or welding technology, there is also joining by means of surface-adhering or surface-dissolving additives. For this purpose, it must be possible to achieve a minimum adhesive force, which may require an individually adapted adhesive.
Transparency
In visual communication, materials are often required which must be translucent to transparent in order to achieve desired optical effects.
Reaction to fire
Plastics are largely based on carbon. In order to be able to adjust the desired reaction to fire (flammable to self-extinguishing), either certain fire retardant additives must be added to the plastic or certain elements must be incorporated into the molecular structure.
